Vermicomposting – It Had To End Sometime

The last Snow fell yesterday. At least, we hope it is the last snow.

We have had a long snowy winter. Snow lay on the ground for three months. I seem to recall that January set a record - we had only ten MINUTES with the temperature above 0c for the entire 31 days.

That’s a cold stretch!

We have had two mini-springs - warm weather lasting about two days, the latest around the weekend of 30th March.

I plan on waiting another four weeks before opening up the large vermicomposter to see how the little beasties survived.
